Think about the stereotypical dentist. He might slap on some rubber gloves and pick up a drill. The office is probably cold and clinical. There’s likely a scared patient sitting in the dental chair, about to undergo treatment.

If this is what people think about when they imagine their trip to the dentist, it’s no wonder that as many as 20 percent of Americans avoid getting the dental care they need due to fear and anxiety!

But at Bell Dental Group, we’re committed to debunking that stereotype and prioritizing your comfort. We know that going to the dentist is a stress-inducing event for a lot of people, and we want to remove barriers to care so we can work together toward improved oral health. From pillows and blankets to keep you cozy while we work, to dental sedation options, we’re willing to go the extra mile to make you feel at home here.

Top-Notch Care

When you’re nervous about coming to the dentist, it’s always helpful to know you’re going to receive high-quality care from award-winning doctors. Dr. Chuck Bell and his twin brother, Dr. Dave Bell, have been practicing together for more than 30 years. And in that time, they’ve completed countless hours of advanced training in areas like cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and periodontology so they can incorporate the most effective technologies and techniques into their care.

Our dentists believe that forming authentic relationships with patients and thoughtfully communicating with them is the cornerstone of great dental care. And it looks like what we’re doing is working! Our dentists have received the Top Dentist award from Cincinnati Magazine every year since 2014.

Easing Tension With Comfort Amenities And Sedation

Ensuring that you have a comfortable experience at Bell Dental Group starts the moment you walk in. Our reception area is warm and inviting, complete with a refreshment station where you can grab something to drink before or after your appointment. Then, when you’re called back for your appointment, it’ll sort of be part dental visit, part visit with an old friend. Our dentists and hygienists love to get to know their patients and keep up with their lives over the months and years.

If you’re a little chilly in our examination room, we’d be happy to grab you a blanket. And if you need a little extra support for your neck, we’ll grab you a pillow! While we work, you’re welcome to watch a movie or listen to some music to help you relax. We even use special comfort syringes to numb your mouth. These motorized tools are so comfortable that many patients don’t even realize we’re using a syringe.

We also know that some patients need a little extra help overcoming anxiety, so we offer two forms of dental sedation that will further relieve stress and discomfort.

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a mild form of sedation that you simply inhale through a small mask. After taking a few deep breaths, you’ll begin to feel a sense of calm. This form of dental sedation is easy to monitor, and the effects wear off quickly after we turn off the gas at the end of your appointment. You’ll most likely be able to drive home and go about the rest of your day as normal.

We also offer oral sedation, which comes in the form of a pill and provides a deeper sedation. This might make you feel a bit tired or droopy, but ultimately, you’ll feel relaxed and ready for your dental work. These effects can last for a couple hours after we’re finished working, so we do ask that you have a friend or family member drive you home from our office!

Convenient Payment Options

More than half of Ohioans said they don’t go to the dentist more frequently because of cost. At Bell Dental Group, we believe that everyone should have access to high-quality dental care. That’s why we established a set of convenient payment options. Paying for your dental care shouldn’t be a hassle!

We accept cash, all major credit cards, and most dental insurances. We’ll also help you file insurance claims so you can get the most out of your policy. If you have any questions about whether our doctors accept your plan or about cost of treatment, feel free to give us a call. Our friendly administrative team would be happy to help you.
