No one wants to get a root canal treatment. That’s because no one wants to have an infected tooth.
But if you should develop one, then you will be in good hands at our Cincinnati, OH dental office. You can end the pain of your toothache, restore your smile, and eat without pain once again.
Root canals have an unfortunate reputation based on the way things were done decades ago. In modern dentistry, we can perform a painless procedure to get your smile and your oral health back on track.
You don’t have to suffer. Call Bell Dental Group at 513-802-9440 if to schedule an appointment soon.
What You Do About It Is What Matters
When you have a toothache, you may feel many things.
Pain is one of them.
You also might feel a little embarrassed. How could this happen? Why did this happen?
If you are afraid of the dentist, you may find yourself conflicted about fixing your problem or making an appointment.
You should know that a root canal treatment is done to remove an infection and end your pain, not to cause new pain. We are not going to judge you for having an oral health issue. Our goal is to help you solve your problem, so you can restore your oral health.
And if you are fearful of the dentist, please know that we offer dental sedation options to keep you calm, relaxed, and pain-free throughout your procedure.
Make It Easier With Dental Sedation
In addition to local anesthetic, we also offer two dental sedation options:
- Inhaled sedation — You probably know this better as laughing gas. It’s fast and effective.
To enjoy the benefits of inhaled sedation, all you have to do is breathe. Within a few minutes, you’ll feel the effects of the laughing gas. It will calm your nerves, and it will block any pain. Knowing this can make it much easier to get the care that you need.
When we’re finished, we simply turn the gas off. You’ll breathe out what’s left in your system, and you’ll be feeling like yourself again before you know it.
- Oral sedation — This is a little stronger than inhaled sedation. Its effects also last a little longer as well. Oral sedation is administered as a dose of medication (in pill form), which is taken prior to your appointment.
Like laughing gas, it will keep your relaxed, and it will prevent pain. Since it takes longer to wear off, however, you should arrange for someone else to drive you to and from your appointment if you choose this option.
If you have questions about either of these options, just ask.
