Part of our cosmetic opportunities for patients definitely evolves around bleaching. That's a situation where we're not going to be doing veneers necessarily. The patient's very comfortable with the shape and health of their teeth, but they just like them a little bit brighter without having to be more involved with the ceramics. Like all of our techniques, there are choices and we always avail ourselves over time to innovations and changes and what we can offer our patients. Currently, we offer probably three basic techniques for bleaching. Two of those involve in-office bleaching, and one of them would involve at-home bleaching.
The in-office bleaching that currently we're offering revolved around the Zoom bleaching technique. Another one called, which is kind of a newer technique we've been offering. Primarily, the patient is seen in office for an hour to two hours, that pretty much gets the job done. They're given maintenance trays at home, but primarily it's an in-office treatment, it's very effective, and for a lot of people it's very time efficient. I think that's one of the things that draws them to it. And it's done basically in one appointment. One of the Steady Eddie's of the bleaching world has always been to take home bleach, we make you customizable trays, the gel is used at home. Again, it's very effective. It requires some diligence over a longer period of time for our patients. As life has gone on and people are in a hurry, I think we do a little less of that because people like the convenience and the time efficiency of coming in for one time. But those would be the typical bleaching options we have for our patients currently.
- Give you a brighter, more aesthetically pleasing smile
- Restore your self-confidence
- Help you look younger and more vibrant
- Give you an edge in your professional life
Improve Your Smile With Multiple Teeth Whitening Options
One of the quickest techniques to giving someone a really nice looking smile. For most people the teeth have dimmed and yellowed over time. The teeth are healthy. There's no chips or cracks, but the color is just not comfortable for them. So we use a primarily in-office bleaching called Zoom, and that can in one appointment totally freshen that smile and make it look nice and healthy and vibrant because the color now is more appropriate to their age and their health. So when we have the discussion with patients about different bleaching techniques, they have choices, but we tend to emphasize in most cases is that the effectiveness of the in-office professional bleaching technique far surpasses what the over-the-counter result will be. So if the patients aren't interested just in a slight change in their color, then over-the-counters might be appropriate. But to be honest with you, when people come in about that question, no one wants just a slight improvement. They want a big improvement. And that's where the over-the-counter products usually fall short of the mark. So we emphasize if the outcome is what they're interested in, that the professional whitening far surpasses the result of over-the-counter.
We give our patients choices so you can make the decisions that are best for your smile. If you would like to brighten your teeth fast with an in-office treatment, you can choose from either a Zoom2 or GLO Science Professional teeth whitening procedure. Regardless of which you choose, your smile will be noticeably improved when you leave our office.
If you would prefer to get rid of stains on your own time, we can provide take-home teeth whitening treatment kits from Opalescence Go. You can get a brighter smile in the comfort of your own home!
