One of the acknowledged challenges in being a dentist is having patients that are a little anxious about coming in having work done or finding out they need some things done because they're not as healthy as they'd really like to be, but there's this hesitancy or just uncomfortableness about coming in. Some of the things that we offer to these patient is a anywhere from nitrous oxide sedation which called laughing gas, we do recognize it as that We do offer oral sedation, valium helps younger people where people will still definitely be conscious in with us but it's just a little bit of taking the edge off to help them feel more comfortable. So, from a pharmacological standpoint does it be the basic things that we would offer patients to make them more comfortable in the office.
Maybe you don’t like the sounds and smells associated with dental offices. Or perhaps you had a painful treatment at the dentist in the past. No matter the cause, we can help relieve your dental anxiety.
Because every patient has unique concerns, we offer two different types of dental sedation. One of them will be right for you!
Nitrous oxide, more commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” is a gas mixed with oxygen that you will inhale through a small mask. Almost immediately, you will feel a mild euphoria and all of your tension will melt away. The effects wear off quickly so you can drive yourself home if you choose to.
We also offer oral conscious sedation in pill form. At a predetermined time before your appointment, you will take the pill so you can arrive at our office fully relaxed. You will stay awake but will only have a vague memory of your visit after the effects wear off. You will need a trusted friend or family member to take you to and from your appointment.
Relax With Comfort Options Too
Along with our dental sedation options, we also provide several amenities to make your treatments more comfortable, including:
- TVs and headphones in every care room
- Cozy neck pillows
- Warm blankets
