Invisalign is an aspect or a practice that we are so excited about. Our office has been considered and categorized as an elite provider for Invisalign. What that means for the patient is we're in the top 5% of all offices in the country in the number of cases that we do with Invisalign, so we're very much proficient at it. We actually get patients referred from other dentists to us for Invisalign that don't feel comfortable with more complicated cases. So people are ready to think about it.
Traditional braces and Invisalign are both techniques to move teeth. We use Invisalign in so many different applications from minor tooth movement for health reasons or minor cosmetic concerns to significant cases where the bite is out of alignment and people are having bite issues, jaw issues, headache issues because of the way their teeth are arranged. So it can be applied to myriad different situations.
It's also technically used a lot of times prior to veneers. Not to get too detailed, but it allows us to be minimalistic as far as how much we have to touch the natural teeth in order to restore the cosmetic needs of the patient.
We do a lot of teenagers too, so it's not a technique that only applies to adults. So our Invisalign teen product is one that's gaining lots of popularity, and we treat lots of kids that are junior high and high school as well.
In detailing that a little bit more about what's attractive as far as the patient is concerned about Invisalign, one of the big ones for a lot of our patients, they're out in the professional world and social world, and they're pretty much obscure. They're clear. They're pretty invisible, so people feel a lot more comfortable that they can go ahead and avail themselves to the treatment they know they really want, but the idea of having metal tracks and metal braces is just a big obstacle to them embracing having treatment done.
If your crooked teeth make you self-conscious around cameras and you’ve mastered a “closed-lip” smile, you should consider Invisalign. It straightens your teeth without uncomfortable metal wires and brackets, and it typically offers shorter treatment times than traditional braces. And because you’ll have straighter teeth, you can more easily keep your mouth clean and healthy.
Drs. Bell, Dr. Petrie, and Dr. Ernst offer free consultations at our Cincinnati, OH dentist office. We have improved so many smiles with Invisalign that we have been recognized as an Invisalign Premier Provider!

The Many Advantages Of Invisalign
Invisalign uses a customized series of clear plastic aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Compared to other teeth straightening options, like traditional braces, Invisalign offers many benefits, because they are:
- Discreet: no one will know you’re wearing your nearly invisible aligners.
- Removable: take your aligners out to eat, brush and floss, and for special occasions.
- Comfortable: the smooth plastic won’t irritate the inside of your mouth like metal braces can.
- Fast-acting: compared to other orthodontics options, Invisalign typically works more quickly.
There will also be no surprises when it comes to straightening your teeth with Invisalign because we can preview your improved smile with our outcome simulator. You’ll know exactly what to look forward to!
What To Expect When You Visit Us For Invisalign
If you are a suitable candidate and want Invisalign, we will first take precise impressions of the inside of your mouth to have your one-of-a-kind Invisalign aligners made.
To get a clear idea of your current situation, we will use state-of-the-art dental technology, including intraoral cameras, digital X-rays, and digital imaging systems. After starting treatment, you will change to a new set of trays about every two weeks but will only need to return to our office about every six weeks so we can check your progress!
When it comes to your day-to-day treatment requirement, you can expect to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day. Aligners can be removed while you eat and care for your teeth (brushing and flossing). On special occasions such as weddings or reunions, you can remove your aligners for a completely natural look!
